How to make Digital Art?

Digital Art

There are many things to keep in mind when drawing a house. You will need to pay attention to the proportions of the house, as well as the details of the roof and windows, so it’s recommended to get a Procreate brush pack later on.

Here are a few tips on how to create a realistic-looking house using digital art:

STEP 1: Draw The Basic Structure

When starting out, it can be helpful to sketch your outline on paper first. This will give you a basic idea of the shapes and proportions involved. Don't worry about the details at this stage. After that, go to your software of choice.

Using the Pen Tool, draw lines and create shapes to form the structure of your house. Be sure that you know where the main door is located if you're drawing a single-story house or if there is more than one story for your house, be sure to include windows as well as doors in between rooms. Note that the roof of the house will be slightly curved, which means that you'll need to use curves to form it.

STEP 2: Add Details

Once you have the basic structure of your house drawn, it's time to add details. This includes things such as doors, windows, roof shingles, and so on. Be sure to make the lines that form these details thin and precise, as this will help give your drawing a more realistic look. If you plan on adding trees near your house, be sure to do so now.

STEP 3: Add Shadows And Reflections

Once you've drawn the basic structure of the house and added enough details, it's time to add shadows and reflections. You'll need to draw these by hand if you're using Paper 2.0; however, if you're using a vector art application such as Adobe Illustrator, then shadows and reflections can be added automatically to any lines that you draw. This will make adding and editing these aspects of your house quite easy later on (this is also true for Paper 1.0).

STEP 4: Add Light And Shadows

To add light and shadows, you'll need to make changes to the different layers that you've created. If you choose to do it manually, simply highlight the specific areas of your house (such as near windows and doors) by holding down your left mouse button while dragging it across these areas.

Doing so will allow you to edit the shadows once you've added them. If your vector art application has an "eraser" tool, then you can use it to erase part of the shadow that's cast on the ground by your house. This will also allow you to edit bright areas, such as windows and doors.

Another way to add light and shadows is through vector art applications such as Adobe Illustrator. If you choose this route, the "gradient" tool can be used to quickly edit these aspects of your house. Be sure that you have layers set up so that it's easy for you to edit things later on if need be.

STEP 5: Add Details To The Foundation

The foundation is one of the most important parts of your house, as it will determine how realistic your drawing looks. If you're using digital art, then adding details to the foundation is quite easy, such as bricks and other details, especially with a free Procreate brush pack, and more so with premium ones.

STEP 6: Add Details To The Roof

Adding details to the roof of your house is easy, especially if you have brush packs Procreate can use. One good way of doing this is to choose a color that will look good on your roof (such as brown). Once this is done, highlight each part of your house's roof by holding down your left mouse button and dragging it over these areas. Doing so will allow you to add a "stroke" to each line that you draw, and this will give your roof a more realistic look.

STEP 7: Add A Background

The final step is to add a background to your house. This can be anything from trees and a lawn to a sky with clouds. If you're using digital art, then adding a background is easy with a Procreate all-star brush pack; simply create a new layer and start drawing.

STEP 8: Add More Details And Polish The Drawing

Now is the time to add any final details to your drawing and to make sure that everything looks neat and tidy. This includes making sure that all of the lines are straight, adding highlights and details to windows and doors with a Procreate brush pack free, and so on. You may also want to consider adding a caption or a title to your drawing.

STEP 9: Save And Export The Drawing

Once you're happy with the way your drawing looks, it's time to save and export it. In Paper 2.0, you can save your drawing as a PDF, JPEG, or PNG file. If you're using a vector art application such as Adobe Illustrator, you can save your drawing as an AI or EPS file.

Summary

By following these nine simple steps, you'll be able to create realistic-looking drawings of houses that you can be proud of. So, start up your vector art application and get started.
